On Purpose, Not by Default

Wakilni H1 2026 Newsletter is out
Some periods test how fast a company can grow. Others test what it chooses to hold on to when growth is no longer the only thing demanding its attention. The first half of 2026 was one of those periods.

Plans changed. Operations had to adapt in real time. People across the team and our client community were navigating circumstances far beyond business as usual. Yet, alongside that disruption, we continued building: strengthening the systems behind our operations, raising the standards we hold ourselves to, expanding what Marketplace and Yellow Stores can support, investing in data and AI, and giving growing markets like Jordan more room to develop on their own terms.

What connects these developments is the way decisions were made. Standards were maintained even when they were not required, long-term systems continued to be built while immediate challenges were being managed, and support for people remained part of the response when circumstances shifted. The focus was not simply on moving forward, but on doing so in a way that could hold up over time. This edition of our bi-annual newsletter looks back at a half defined as much by resilience as by progress, by the systems that went live, the standards we renewed, the markets and partnerships that continued to grow, and, above all, the people who kept showing up through it all.

Because lasting growth is rarely the result of default decisions. It is built on purpose. Read the full H1 2026 newsletter HERE.
